Bay of Biscay

In the middle of August we teamed up with the sailboat "Elze". A 37 foot beauty sailing from Norway to warmer horizons in the Mediterranean sea.

Here is some documentation from the crossing of the Bay of Biscay, from Ireland to Spain.
Navigation under the starry night sky, sunsets, whales and a whole lot of dolphins.

This was our trip:

If you can´t display the video above, watch it here: Dolphins

3 boys, 1 girl, 5 days at sea...

And then the dolphins came to say hi

Fair winds, blue skies, 7 knots. Sweet!

More dolphins

Mid sea sunsets are pretty sweet

With the VHF broken, we had no means of communication with other ships, this giant cargo ship luckily changed its course when it was quite close, phew.

Captain soundly smoking his pipe

Tjhe beauty "Elze" anchored by the northern coast of Spain at sunset.

Finding our way back home in the dinghy after a night on the town.
