Sailing the fjords of Norway

This summer some of the founding fathers behind Northbound and down went on a epic sailtrip through the Norwegina fjords. Celebrating our national day in Bergen, barbecues, glacier snowboarding and a broken back.

Norway, a beautiful country!

Memories of Hawaii

Eddy's carsale

In our quest to capture a lost day in various time zones around the world we wake up at around 05:00. We spend the morning hours wandering the streets between sleepy greetings from alcoholized bums and palm trees. I find a free newspaper and flick through the pages. Disinterest builds up until I abruptly get ripped out of my half sleep by a pink page headlined Eddy's Carsale

Faster than you can say "finanacial crisis" we got the best deal in town. Until we parked betsy for a nights sleep, 3 km away from officially the wettest place on earth and found out there was a massive hole in the roof.

Pictures say more than a thousand words

As an introduction to our new blog we want to give our readers a feel for what we do, who we are and what we stand for. We have heard that pictures can say more than a thousand words, so every day over the next week we will post a photo that defines the crew behind Northbound and down.

Travelguide to Syria

Step 1.  Gather the troops

At some point in my life I got the brilliant idea to study Arabic. One thing led to another and before I knew it I was studying at the University of Damascus, living in a country not very famous at the time. Life was good in Syria, beer was good in Syria, food was good in Syria, the weather was good in Syria and the landscape was amazing in Syria. All this lead me to invite some of my friends over, to crack Syrias oyster in half.
